Help Identifying Parts Thread

Does anyone know what the orange part is called and what it does? The hose that connects to it snapped out. It's not affecting the way the engine is running but I want to replace it. Thanks,

yup it would be. If I wasn't editing some video, I'd look up the actual part number, but I guarantee that thing is at least $80 new and is only available at a dealer or OEM parts supplier.

So I took out the VCV out to try to fix it and noticed something. The hose that was going on top snapped out so I'm going to try to fix it. But there is also a place on the side for a hose to go on, but i never had any hose connected to it. Right now there is just a hole there. Does anyone have a pic/diagram that shows exactly how it is supposed to be?

I'm still trying to figure out which VSV it is. I doubt it is the one for fuel pressure, or the truck would probably not run very well. That leaves the PAIR, and the EGR.

Either way, the VSVs have the electrical connector, and two vacuum hoses going into it. One of the vacuum hoses is connected to the vacuum source (air intake), and the other is connected to whatever is being controlled by the VSV (PAIR, EGR, Fuel Pressure, etc.).

I don't have a 22RE, so can't help much more than that.

if you can read the part number off the side of the vsv, and I can tell ya where that hose is supposed to go. I am not familiar with the colors.

Part number Help Pic attached

I have been unlucky so far trying to find this part. I'm not sure what its called and the dealers have not been very helpful. Its the plastic square panel that's behind the door handle, and to which the window switch bezel is attached to (green square). Anyone know the part number for it? Both the passenger side and the driver side? mine is a 88, but I'm assuming that its the same for 88-89 and maybe some of the pickups too. Thanks,

The dealer couldn't tell you what it was? I wonder if it's part of the entire door panel? Your best bet is to find one being parted out online, or at a junk yard. Check your local craigslist, and did you hit up eBay?

No, they want a part number which kind of defeats the purpose of going to the dealer. I tried ebay and cg with no luck

Is there another dealer you could go to? When I needed the screws for my radiator shroud the guy pulled up the diagram, found the part number, and ordered them for me all within 5 minutes. That parts guy sure isn't earning his keep.

I hate idiots behind dealership counters that get paid to do what I do for free on here and they have access to alot better stuff then I do. I don't see that bezel anywhere in my diagrams, clk_cpa shoot me a PM with you vin number, the only info I got is an 88 sr5 4cyl. With the VIN I can probably track down what that vsv part number is and get you a ball park price and the correct vacuum diagram for it.

I know what you mean. I ended up going to 2 other dealerships and had better luck with the people i dealt with, but not with finding the part. Both places told me that Toyota does not make the bezel anymore, and that I would not be able to order it. They went over the diagrams with me and neother the part nor the part number showed up anywhere. I was able to get one for the driver side from junkyard, but of course its broken and the wrong color. The part # is 67650-89101 LH for the driver side bezel. I dont think i'll ever find this part new anywhere, and the stuff from junkyard will probably all be broken anyways

Well at least you've got the part number. I'm sure if you scour the Internet you'll be able to find it somewhere.

Contact this dude. I bet he can hook you up with those door handle bezels, even in the correct color.
