Help with acceleration issue.
Hi everyone, I recently noticed that my acceleration on my 94' 3.0 is different.
I'm having a hard time searching the forum for my problem because I'm not too sure how to word it.
Whats going on is the engine rpm seems to ramp up and down under acceleration between 2k and 3500 rpm.
I can actually see the rpm needle pulsing.
The truck still has decent power, and I haven't thrown any CELs yet.
I can hear the intake under acceleration going up and down.
It idles just fine nice and even.
I guess it would look like a sine wave if it could be measured.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
Chris.

Is your truck a manual or automatic? If it is manual, then it might need a clutch. If it is an automatic, the transmission might be slipping or something might be causing it to either downshift and upshift at odd times or maybe the torque converter is locking and unlocking when it is not suppose to. I believe a faulty TPS can cause issues like that.
