Hi there im Dave from Australia ,im pleased to have found these forums.
Im trying to find what model 2WD hilux trucks came with tall diff ratios .
Im in need of 3.07 to 3.42 ratio in a 8 inch C&P, I searched and found a photo of a vin plate from a RN50 that had a 3.07 8 in diff and that would suit but was told most are 7.5 inch diffs .
Im trying to find the model code of a V6 2WD pickup 1991 which has a tall diff , it has a 3VZ-E engine , im trying to find out if this would have a 8in or 7.5 in diff in it but being a V6 id say 8 inch . VZN85 or 90 ??

You may have better luck posting this in the classifieds on this site. that is a rare thing to find as well. Can you not just buy the gears and stick them in your current 3rd?

The tallest gears in Aus are 3.58, yes just the gears would be fine and id build them into my 3rd.

Thanks guys good to on here.
Not really fussed on price as i was considering new gears.
I have a 8 in hilux 2wd diff thats in a corona mark 2.
I mainly need to make sure that the V6 2WD hilux deffinatly has a 8 in diff and not a 7.5 and what model it is.
