Heater issues
Guys,
With all of the vast experience and knowledge out there I was hoping you could help me (grin). Above my plentum, mouted on the firewall, is a plastic u shaped valve. It seems to regulate the flow of hot water from the engine to the heater core. It has a cable that goes right into the firewall, but I cant seem to find where it ends up. The reason I say is because the cable is in the position where it is in all of the way to the firewall, but I cant figure out what controls it. Common sense tells me that it goes to the heater control, (hot cold), but when I move it back and forth it does not move the valve position. I had to replace my 4x4 dash light, so i have half the dash apart, and want to fix this if it needs fixin! The heater control on the dash does move vents, and I can see the cable does down to the passenger side, and controls linkage, but it does not move this valve. Anyone have experience with this?
