headlight conversion
So after doing some searching for LED conversions in the cab, and getting the info there, I was looking at the headlight conversions. I have decided that I want to go with the Hella sealed beam conversion set. What I am wondering is, where did everyone order them and is the 7x6 the correct size for my 93 4runner? I also plan on doing the wiring upgrade for a better output and safety. If anyone has more insight on this or maybe knows of a better brand to go with, please feel free to chime in!

I have done the conversion, not really happy with the output of the LED lights. I have since switched to the H4 bulbs. may not give you the color of light you want or the short brightness but the "down the road" brightness is allot better. Upgrade to the wiring is also the way to go. Makes life better.. this is just my 2 cents worth tho......

1993 4Runner uses a Toyota only glass front shaped headlight shell and reflector.
7x6 sealed beam or H4 type will not fit.
If you want to keep the original front end configuration, you are pretty much limited to what you can do, other than changing the bulb cartridge inserts.
Seems that I have seen/heard that front end parts (grille and header, ect), may be substituted from some year pickup trucks that use standard sealed beam headlights.
This change would give considerably more headlight mod options, but more work and expense involved.

Millball,
There are conversions out there that uses the size of a sealed headlight (7x6) to a H4 type bulb, Check ebay there are hundreds of them in every color of the rainbow. I purchased one of these. Glass front housing with the H4 bulb. Fit just like the sealed beam where you have to dissemble the entire grill to remove and change. Now to change bulb is to open hood reach in twist and unplug. Heres a link

That's why the change-over to a pickup front end is necessary.
