Header fitment

Has anybody had trouble getting a Pacesetter header to fit their 22RE? This is kind of a rant, bear with me...

Here's the backstory... The u-joint on the transfer case end of my rear driveshaft blew out at 75 miles per hour. The shaft flailed around under the truck (still attached at the rear pinion) and it took out my whole exhaust.

I ordered a Pacesetter header from summitracing.com. I'm not really expecting any performance increase from it, but since it replaces everything from the head to the catalytic converter I figured it would work well enough as a stock replacement.

I went to install it today and it doesn't fit. It hits the bellhousing and one of the heater core pipes before I can even get it close enough to slide onto the exhaust studs. I left it alone for a while, and then went back and looked at it again. I cannot figure out how to make it fit, and I'm pretty sure it's made wrong even though the tags on it have the correct model number.

Anybody else have this problem?

Yeah, I knew the Pacesetter was a piece of crap before I bought it, but I figured it would at least fit my truck...

Here you can see where it contacts the bottom of the block, and where it contacts the heater core pipe. What this doesn't show is that it also contacts the bellhousing. With it hitting so many places I can't even get it into position to align it on the exhaust studs.

I tried Pacesetter, didn't fit called them explained situation they sent me another header for another 22re aplication. Still didn't fit, so I persuaded it with a hammer and mandible. With a fair amount of effect it mounted. Threw engine codes and leaked. Pacesetter stopped taking my calls. Ordered a Thorley Tri- Y and sold the the two Pacesetters, now I'm happy.
