I just hooked everything up, and am pretty positive i didnt put two of the ground wires abck into the right spot. The one at the back of the head i put correctly into the bolt hole on the fire wall. Theres one by my dip stick that is from the alternator, not sure where to put it, and another from the wire harness between the EFI plenum and intake manifold.. where do i bolt that one as well..and are there any other grounds? when i was jumping my truck to turn the starter, it was making white smoke out of the negative cable..im assuming its because i didnt hook up the grounds in the right spots...any pictures would help guys.

It shouldn`t matter were you hook up the grounds, just hook them to the nearest bolt, and if your battery cable is smoking then its probably bad and should be replaced. the ground by the plenum usually bolts to the center of the plenum were the two halfs are bolted together.

ok i got the one by the plenum hooked up right then.. could just be the fact that the negative battery clamp sucks.

Use good quality battery cables, it make a big diference when your truck can draw the power it need to start or when its under a heavy load, I made my own cables using 4 gauge battery cable and soldered and shrink wrapped all the cable ends.

nice, the cables are all stock cables.. ive had to replace the positive terminal connector probably twice, the negative term connector is tightened all the way and is still loose, so i used plyers and squeezed it into an oval..fits snug now..

Have i said the stock power cables suck btw? Ive had to splice and reconnect my fusebox cable that goes to the positive node like 3 times, and the small ground cable to the fender like 5 times...very annoying.
