Hey guys, I need some expert advice. I posted on here a week or so ago, but got very few answers so I will try again. I have a 1991 Toyota 4wd ext. cab 22 re that currently has an automatic. The current automatic tranny has issues and I am wanting to install a 5spd. in my truck. I have a donor 1988 4 runner with a 5 spd. and 22re that I was going to use. My question is, will everything out of the 4 runner work in my ext. cab pickup? Clutch pedal, crossmember, etc. Will switching to a 5 spd. mess with the computer in my truck? I know I will have to shorten or lengthen the driveshaft, hook up my neutral safety switch and my reverse lights, but can I use the 4 runner tranny, pedals etc.? Will there be any issues at all, I would like to know if there is anything else I need to look for or if I can use everything that I have in the 4 runner. I am just not sure with it being a 4 runner. Any and all help or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks
