Hard to get I gear sometimes
I am new to this forum but have been reading and love the comments. My question is I have a 91 toy truck 4x4 and the clutch when mashed in feels like it is still wanting to go and it is hard to get in gear sometimes after you put it in neutral is this the clutch or slave cylinder . Thanks for any ideas

Seems pretty common most of the toyotas I've owned have done it especially in reverse I think they even mention the issue in the owners manual usually if u disengage the clutch then try again it will go in gear

Sounds like master to me. I've gotten a couple of duds when replacing it before, so I've been through it a few times.
Check under your carpet to see if there's any fluid or rust on the driver's floor, could be a small leak that has gone unnoticed.
Could be an issue with synchronizers possibly too. I'm not as familiar with that.

You don't have to remove anything to check the clutch pedal bracket, so that should be the first thing to look at. I had the same clutch problems you've got and the bracket was the problem.
