Thumbs down Hand Brake Help!

I have a 93 Toyota pickup EXT and I am trying to change the front hand brake cable but for the life of me I can not figure out how to remove the cable from the handle its self. I have removed the assembly from the firewall and removed the pin and wheel. The only thing i have left to do is remove the cable its self from the sliding part of the handle. Does the Oin on the side of the handle at the bottom that pushes in the button to furn off the dash light unscrew or what don't see any other way to release the cable??? Any advice would be a big help. Thanks in advance Steve.
