The Guy at Toyota said I can use between 1986- 1992?

Fuel pump bracket needs to be replaced. I have a 91 toy 22re. My question is. What other years can I use, if I was to find a used fuel pump bracket? The rep at the dealer said from 1986- 1992. Does this sounds correct? Thanks.

The bracks will all bolt up but the lengths change depending on the tanks size. Also the electrcal conectors will be different from pre 88 to 89-95.

Tanks differ between 2 and 4 wheel drives and also by each generation. Since you have a 91 you can use 89-95 but even then there can be some differences. Pay attention to the length of the bracket that holds the pump. The 85-88 metal hoses coming off of the tank are not as long as the 89-95. It probably could be made to work but you really need to get the correct assembly for your truck.

Terrys87 describes the issue well. Here's what I said in Diego_toyota's other thread:
