Guages dont work after bulb replacement
I pulled the whole dash apart to replace various bulbs, change the stereo, new cig lighter and guage bulbs. It s a 1989 limited edition 4x4 extended cab I've had from 70 miles on it to 360k now. It wants to die but I keep resurecting it.
Now the tach, oil, and battery guages wont work. I've checked all the fuses and pulled it apart again to look for loose or missing wiring harness connections and it all seems fine.
thoughts?
Also, my power windows won't roll down.

To my untrained readers it sounds like somewhere there is a loose connection and when you pull on the fuse block it moves the wire and completes the circuit. That moving the block causes the better connection doesn't mean the problem is in the block itself, though.

I found the problem. I had a fuse connector that allowed you to get power for lights, etc, it slips over the fuse blade. I had removed it so the slot was wider and causing a short. I found the problem by pressing on each fuse leg separately.
