Ground Strap

I'm reinstalling my 3vze, and I'm just about there until I moved a thick grey wire that goes from my negative battery post and found I forgot to connect it to something.

Does this connect to the block?

most likely the firewall if its a ground

the one i replaced....same description as your's in my son's 3vze 1988 4runner, ran to behind the a/c compressor

It looks like it goes to the block.

ummm...yes...to the block...behind the a/c....but, yes....passenger's side of the block....bought a strap from autozone because his was shredded
