i have stumbled across a 93 single cab pu with a 302 fuel injected stang motor swap. the drive train is still mostly stock with 6in sus lift. running 33s with a 5 speed. body is in great shape swap seems to be done right. not big on ford but know that the 302 is a solid motor. the motor has a nice cam with slightly rough idle and gt40 heads? asking 3000 for it or my 75 cj5 with 304 and lift. deal or no deal? p.s. wouldve rather had the tudra motor in my 95 taco lol but this is already built

If you get rid of the cj5 you'll regret it. I do. I don't care what motor the yota has, stock drivetrain = never touching what you're cj can get ya through... it's already got a solid axle in the front, the 304 is a bulletproof motor, and you got a light vehicle with a short wheelbase. some lockers front and rear, and that thing is unstoppable. It would take LOTS of work, and thousands of dollars to get that pickup to that point. I love my yota, but if I could trade it for my old jeep, I wouldn't think twice.

If it still had the 22re in it for 3k, i'd say it'd make a good DD. with that 302, honestly, i'd pass. Not that the 302 is a bad motor by any means, and it's probably a nice truck. HOWEVER...

I'm VERY suspicious of buying ANYTHING that has had major work like that done... motor swaps, driveline swaps, etc. I honestly wouldn't even buy a 4runner or pickup that someone did a SAS on it, unless i personally knew them (because as a toyota tech, I tend to know other people 'in the business'). You don't really know how well the job was done, what shortcuts they took while doing it, and the whole "aw hell, i don't remember where that bolt went... oh well make a good addition to my extra bolt collection" factor. I know what I'm doing, and trust my own work. You gotta ask yourself... it's a V8 swapped pickup with 6" lift and some 33's in really nice shape. Why would he be selling it, and for pretty cheap? If that were really "done right" it'd be worth a lot more than 3k I'd think.

Keep the Jeep.

Buy the truck straight up if you can.
6" is WAY too much lift especially for 33's but you could take care of that. Sounds like a good deal
