Hey guys, was considering going with spacers until reading more about how they add pressure to bearings, ect.
Im looking at some steel wheels now, whats a good offset and back spacing to get a good nice stance? Thanks!

Would 15x8 3.75 BS and a 31x10.5 work well?

I went with 16x7 steel soft 8s with 4" backspacing wrapped with 265/75 16 duratracs. Stock BS of the 15" aluminum wheels is 4 5/8. Honestly I would go more than 4" of backspacing if you can, I love the look of my wheels since the tire tread sticks out just past the fenders, but even with the mudflaps the sides of my truck get peppered with mud and rocks during even a moderate drive. Seems like 15x8 with 3.75 is popular however, so whatever floats your boat

3.75 is a good backspacing because thats what you need for lift kits to clear the spindle spacer.

i'm curious about this too. i'd like some soft 8's but not sure of the backspacing. i'd like them to stick out just a little. i also have balljoint spacers so i don't want the tires to rub. i had to grind my upper control arm a little to keep my 31's from rubbing with the stock wheels.

Good choice. 4.75" is stock backspace, so if you ever want to jump to a larger tire that's 12.5" wide you'll need 3.75" backspace. With the wheels you got you can get pretty much any 15" tire to fit except maybe a 13.5" tread width. I don't see how 31s didn't clear on stock wheels though as it was a dealer option for this size...

my 31's rubbed my upper control arms just a little after i put the balljoint spacers on.

so where is the cheapest place to get some soft 8's or other generic wheels at?

^thats odd that they would rub after BJ spacers. Since control arms travel in an arc, adding a BJ spacer to the arm will inevitably give you positive camber (top of wheel tilted outward) until you adjust either tbars or control arms, thus making the space between tire and UCA larger. What wheels are on the rig? 31s are usually only 10.5" wide and with stock wheels you should have a good 1/2" or more of play. Do you have aggressive sidewalls on your tires?

Cheapest place is usually somewhere like Summit Racing or other big-box catalog store. Find the model number you want and Google it to find best prices. Sometimes you might be able to get a shop to price match an online printout.

Bump. I want to mount 33 x 12.5s on my 94' trucks stock aluminum wheels (15" / ET+8) Can this be done and how? Everything is stock right now (no lift, no mods) Would a 1.5" to 2" body lift be enough? What if I were to also ad 1" BJ spacers? I plan to do the 63" leaf mod so I know some added suspension lift in the front will be needed to compensate the rear lift from the new springs. Please help me, I already bought the tires and really need to get this done in the next two or three weeks if possible.
