4.3

We'll my wife and I have finally decided that we will need to replace my d/d 4 runner with something a little more reliable. Mainly because the engine is starting to knock, it leaks oil the power steering pump is leaking and the thing doesn't want to idle. ( oh yea, i have no ac as well.) We decided this after at a party this weekend, a distant family member was asking me why I didn't drive my truck to the party, explained the reasons, and he said he had an engine if I wanted it. So the fun starts....4.3L chevy v6 will soon reside in the 4 runner.I just have to finish building the engine and then do the swap. The plan is to run it carbed so I can get away from all the electronic crap the bogs it down. If anyone has any hints or suggestions I'm open for help.

Chime in time

Dont run carbed the 4.3 is so simple wirirng wise it aint even funny. You need cranking power (starter) power to ECU and spark. thats basicaly it.

Look at my swap I havent started the wiring yet but its not hard!

Lots of 4.3 swappped rigs, not alot here neccecarily but on the web there is. Pirate has a dedicated thread about all the 4.3 swaps and different setups you should look at too

Good luck and hope to see more!
