Glowing exhaust
New long block 22re. Bored .20 over, new head, turned cam, valves new or ground. Timing is set at 4 to lower idle to 900 rpm with jumper wire. Knock sensor is the only code. Great power. Runs smooth. No cat. Exhaust is flowing great. Injectors done by witchhunter two weeks ago. TPS has been adjusted. Egr good to go.
In other posts I read about the timing causing a red manifold, if the knock sensor is causing a check engine light it may effect the ECU's management of the timing advance. Is this accurate?

personally, I'd install a new knock sensor, then go back and readjust your timing, cause I can almost garantee that bad sensor is throwing EVERYTHING off...
if the glowing exhaust persist after that, then you can start guessing at parts, lol. just fix what you know is broken first
