Gearin on a 3vz V6 help me
im wanting to regear my truck so i can really use all of 5th gear on the intersate im running 36's with stock gears 4'10 i think?? i wanna know what yall are running on the v6's and how it helped wioth ur gas mileage

I got 5:29's and 35's. I like the gearing. just gotta shift sooner than you do with 4:10's to keep the mpg low. I used to have 4:10's it was a big step you will know a difference for sure. And with 36"s should feel pretty good. I'm glad i did'nt get 4:88's or anything

5.29's or 5.71's if you think you will go bigger.
The higher RPMs will actually HELP your gas mileage because you won't have your foot on the floor all the time.

LOL - then why ask for people's advice?
One gear step (4.56 to 4.88 or 4.88 to 5.29) increases the RPM's by about 250 if everything else is the same. To efficiently cruise, you need to be at 3000 RPM.

yea i dont plan on going bigger im prob going smaller just one size i want 35's but i may wait till i get tires and after i get done with the turbo and see how it pulls then before i decide
