FYI on Husky Liners

Just for fun I took my liners out of my 99 and tried them in my 86 and they fit great. So those who would like husky liners for their first gens. the 99 fits pretty well.

Husky liners are terrific. I still have the same set I had in my '91. That's more than 15 years of use...and still working great.

And they really do a great job of keeping the carpet nice.

Downside is they don't work so great in the north when you drag a bunch of snow in, melts and just sloshes around.
There is a company making them similar but have anti sloshing ribs in them.

I have a set from an 89-95 model in my 88 and they work very well...the fit is almost perfect...even though they're a little off in some spots. They're definitely worth the money to get them. The one thing I noticed on my truck though is that even though they keep the mud and nasty stuff off the carpeting, they do trap whatever water gets in the truck under the mats. My carpeting is really in pretty sad shape underneath. This is why I'm ultimately going with replacement drop in molded vinyl for my truck soon instead of the factory carpeting. They make it to fit right in.

Will you please post a picture of them in the 86? The ones in my 90 extracab dont fit the 4runner at all, too long.

Thanks
Robb

Hey JAY,

Go to Lordco on Westwood in Port Coquitlam near the Supersave gas/Superstore, etc. Just drive down lougheed highway and hang a left onto Westwood and it's on your right at the next set of lights. They have great prices on Husky Liners. I got mine there for $75 plus tax a few years ago. For a comparison Cap-it sells the same matts for $100+. Only downside is they're gonna take you a few weeks to get. You saw mine when we were at Jason's house didn't you? They make them in 3 colours for our trucks - grey (what I have), beige & black. The colour is demoninated by the product code, so keep that in mind if/when you order.

I just bought set for my buddy Justin for his birthday who you met when we were at Home Depot recently for his 2007 GMC Sierra and they charged me $78 plus tax.

they are the absolute best mats ever made. we had them in my uncle's oil-field industrial amublance/medical company vehicles and they where by far the best things at keeping the carpets clean all year round! i put them in my 4Runner and couldn't be happier.

I spent 20 bucks on a really heavy duty set at sams club 3 years back. Since I have a T100 the floor area is slightly large so the mat doesnt cover it all. However what the mat does cover looks nice. I assme in the smaller trucks it would work better to cover the floor.
