fuel pump cover/housing on gas tank

New to the site, my name is Chad I have a(n) 89 pickup small lift w/33x12.5. its a v-6. I was doing some routine maitenence when I found my cover on my gas tank was leaking. i pulled the bed to find that the lines, coming from the fuel pump cover on the top of the gas tank, where severly rotted. Needless to say I need a new cover or a way to fix this. A search in all the local boneyards and nothing.I cant find one anywhere. The dealership is a last resort, if they can get one. Is there any way to fix these covers or does anyone have one out there I could buy. I have been searching for weeks. The old yota is missing the trails. I need to get her running again. Any info would be greatly appreciated thanks.

well hi there newbe lol welcome to yota tech and lets see some pictures of theis fuel tank and if i get you right is it the gasket between the tank and the plate or is it infact just the lines? cause the jack yards should have something for ya where you live? (and dont say in a house) might help out some cause then someone might live by you to help and did you try autozone?

http://www.autozone.com/addVehicleId...leSelected.htm

they might just have the part you know

well it's off to the boneyard tomorow to pull a tank from a 93 pickup and see if the cover will work, its the only one I can find and its not even in my state lol. I live in Ct. I am looking for the cover that houses the fuel tank. The lines coming out of the top are snapped because of the rust. I will post pictures(try to anyway) tomorow when I get back.

I am not sure about a fuel tank cover, maybe the fuel pump braket? I think the dealer is about $130.

I think the fuel pump bracket is what you are talking about. Search for that and see if that is what you mean. There was a post a few weeks ago that showed the page out of the FSM.
