fuel line question

So I recently dropped a remaned 22re into my 1986 ex cab. Although, I have a few things left to do before I attempt to start it. I've been rather busy with school the last few days. Yesterday I came home to notice a puddle of gas under the truck and when I looked under the hood gas was dripping out of a piece of soft line which led down and connected to a piece of metal line and down under the truck on the passenger side of the engine bay. More specifically down to the right of the EVAP canister if looking from the front of the truck. I went to open the gas cap to relieve any pressure and the dripping stopped. I'm stumped as to where it could go. Does anyone else. Here is a list of the ones I have hooked up.

1. The fuel line going to the filter.
2. The fuel line going from the filter to the fuel rail.
3. The two lines on the regulator at the other end of the rail. One goes to a VSV and the other to the bottom of the EVAP.
4. The line that comes out of the top of the EVAP canister and goes back down under the truck.
5. The cold start hard line going from the fuel rail to the cold start injector.

I apologize but I lost my camera and it's dark so I can't get a picture. If anyone knows anything about this line fill me in.

Thanks,
Andrew

Sounds like a return line leaking..... it should come out of the fuel rail and into a hardline down and under the truck.....

Yea at the end of the fuel rail there is a regulator with a place for two lines. I thought one went to the bottom of the EVAP canister and one went to a VSV? Am I wrong?

Ok then where does the line that hooks in the bottom of the canister connect to?

Both of lines should connect to 2 hard lines that are on the fire wall on the passanger side.

sounds like u got 2 lines switched. return line empties into the bottom of the gas tank, the other line is a vent for the top of the gas tank. if u have the wrong one hooked up the tank will build pressure when ur driving, and when u shut it off the gas will get pushed up through the return line into the charcoal canister and out the drain line in the bottom.... It's kinda like blowing air into one of those capri sun juice bag and wondering why the juice squirts out. High pressure always has to go to a low pressure.
