Fuel Issue
I recently replaced my fuel lines with 5/16" fuel hose and I don't know if I installed the hoses on the gas tank wrong or what but fuel will not stay in my carburetor, after about 30min to an hour the site gauge on the carb is empty, this is causing it very hard to start and I'm sure it isn't good for the carb. Does anyone know how the lines are set up? Thanks

I checked the lines, they are correct. Is it possible for gas to get into my oil on a carbureted engine? What components could be bad if this is the case? I think the 5/16" lines were too big for the truck, the ones I took off were 1/4", should I change them back to 1/4"?

Generally if fuel syphons back out of a carb the accelerator pump in the carp needs to be replaced. This is included in any rebuild kit. What vehicle and enginr are we talking about here?
