Fuel Injectors Rebuild Mine or Buy New or Reman??

Have you ever had your injectors sent off and refurbished? I was wondering if I should send mine off to be refurbished or just buy some from someone online. I think the name Flame Thrower and Witch Hunter come to mind for some refurbished ones. Ebay has some by Flame Thrower and they come with the pig tail. I am in the middle of a rebuild and dont want to overlook this little detail. What have you done? What would you do? any help or suggestions

Hmmm. $22 x 6 (http://witchhunter.com/ )
or $140.12 x 6 (http://www.toyotapartszone.com/Page_...onentsID=22-11)

Boy, that's a tough call.

Okay, you can get off-brand injectors for $60 at RockAuto, and if you buy a re-man, as little as $28. If you have no faith in your own injectors, you might as well buy someone else's reman for a few dollars more. But you never know where they've been.

Unless I thought my own injectors had been really abused (did you take them out with Vise-Grips?), I'd have them refurbished.

I sent mine to Dr. Injector (shameless plug) in Rancho and he did an amazing job. My injectors weren't as bad as I thought but flow increased by 15-25%. Does the whole analysis, spray patterns, which injectors to put in which cylinder for best performance, etc. And they look like they are brand new. Cost $140 for 6 (didn't pay shipping since I just picked them up).

Had my 22re injectors done at Witchhunter, very pleased. Also had my 2vz-fe injectors done there first, thus I did my truck.

If there is something wrong with your injectors, they will tell you when they run the tests. They don't just refurbish them and give them back to you, they make sure they are running correctly and give you the results before sending them back. Another plus for having them refurbished (you know they are working).

And if you need the pigtails for some reason you find them online, here's are some examples:

My connectors were brittle on the 2vz-fe so I replaced them from this place:

great input thanks so much. I looked at it like this, since I am already that far into it why would i not get it done if just for the insurance of knowing it was done. It looked like my plugs from the wire harness were in good shape so I should be good there. I cant seem to find a way to get in touch with witch hunter. Does anyone have his contact information? The only thing my search keeps turning up is his name in other post. nothing with a number or email address to contact him. thanks again for all your help

WOW they (witch hunter)are not taking anything in at this time

not sure about that, whats the next option? I have never heard of a business turning away customers. I dont mind that it takes a little longer if they are backed up, but for them to not even accept them just seems kind of odd. Anyone dealt with others before? I need to get these things sent out.

Must be a company with dang good reputation to be able to do that! they must be scary overworked.

Heard good things about this RC Engineering as well from users on here. Weird thing is they are only 15 minutes from me, but since I heard about witchhunter first and was happy with them, I stuck with them for the 2nd time I needed service.

wish I would have seen this one earlier, I already went online and paid for them to go to RC out in Cali. This place in San Antonio was the same price but closer to me. Oh well its done now. I guess it doesnt matter much since I am still waiting on the engine to arrive. Besides it will be a few weeks before I can get it in.
