Front yoke bearing???what is it!?
I was going to replace one of the 3 u joints on the front driveshaft, but when i took the yokes apart(closest to transfer case) a bunch of needle bearings fell out,not from a joint but from some odd pressed in bearing that sits on the end of the shaft behind the joints(there are 2 joints on that end). One side is male on the yoke from the tranfer case and the other is female on the yoke from the shaft. Had I known this I would have been more carefull but apparantley those are worn too. So my attempt to find all the needle bearings that fell out would have been useless. So what the heck is the name of this bearing? It looks like a regular sealed bearing seated in one end,but the center is round and that swivels which has the needle or roller type bearings in that...AAArrgggHHHHH. It looks like an eyeball.crazy.called toyota and 2 guys there couldnt findit with my vin.I know i can pull the bearing out but i need to identify this and make sure i can get it. thanks guys for your help!!
