Fresh rebuilt 86 22RE "wood" knock? VIDEO
Hello! First post here, I have been meaning to put a build thread up with all my progress start to finish but have not got to it yet.
Anyway get down to business, 1986 22re rebuilt with as close to oem as i could get without breaking the bank. No build thread to show you how meticulous it was put together (yet). I Plastigauged, torqued, greased, lubed, everything thing to spec. Turned over by hand nicely before first start up. Starts, runs, no weird vibes or misses. BUT this sound that I want a few opinions on makes my OCD head think too much.
So watch this video, tell me what you identify this sound as. The one im speaking of is the one that sounds like you knocking on a piece of wood + the "whir". I put it in gear about half way through, and the sound is much more prominent when the engine has load on it.
Details, its not the rockers/valve train, I have checked them 3 times and they haven't budged since I set them for initial startup. Not valves hitting valve cover. I have 2 ideas of what it is, but i dont want to "incept" you guys. Just tell me what you think, and we will get a thread going.
Any and all help is appreciated, Thanks!

Sounds like a wooden dowel tapping on the concrete garage floor. I went on a bicycle ride after viewing your video but can't put my finger on it. Sounds like the for the emissions or PCV valve but it doesn't seem to increase in speed when you accelerate. Could it be coming from your stereo system?

Well its coming from the block.
The two options are just plain old piston slap, (he did machine close to friggn maximum clearance instead of real tight).
Or I was thinking a very slight rod knock. It all plastigauged perfect. But still could be a small one.
So, im going to just run it for a while and see if it gets any louder. If/when i pull the pan in the future I will post an update to let you guys know if i find a slightly loose bearing.
