Found a 86 pickup truck

I'm going to look at this truck tomorrow morning and wanted to hear all of you opinions,let me know what you think and if it's worth buying. http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/search...=1258941434908

haha, ide buy it if i had the cash, good show truck, but whatchya gonna use it for? if ur gonna wheel it, ide go with a less nice truck

no i'm not going to wheel it.it would be my daily driver to work like 10 minutes each way 5 days a week and prob. carry some wood for my wood stove.

its a little pricey check craigslist sure you could find something real nice cheaper

i dont know elton.. i mean the convertible and dump bed is a lil silly, but it looks to be in great shape with only 64,000 original miles. 3k doesnt seam like a bad deal.

that's what i was thinking.owner told me he has 3 trucks and he doesn't need this 1 any more and this 1 been sleeping in a garage for the 5 years he owned it.he's keeping only 1 truck

I hate you all Up on Vancouver Island, I would feel bad for the owner paying anything less that $6000 for that. Its all so expensive here

I can see why he wants to sell it, the '80s mini truck look isn't really in style anymore. The dump bed could be useful I guess but that convertible top is hideous.

If ya do end up getting take some more close up pics so we can all bask in its glory.

Ok I would pay less that 6000 for that i didn't see how ugly the convertible top was

i know 3k is more than the value of this truck but with the bed dump,lift and paint job it may be a fair price,ah the interiors are in mint condition too.well i'm driving to see it today.any advice on what should i look for? i think i'm doing carfax on vin #.any other way to tell if it has 64k original miles? guys give me all the advice you can and your opinion positive or negative i don't care i just don't want to make a bad decision and buy it and regret it in the future

Make sure the dump bed is actually able to lift some weight and not just a weak little hydraulic cylinder thats only for show...

that's exactly what i was thinking.I will ckeck on that.I did carfax and everything check out ok.any other way of telling is 64k are really original

That dump bed really would not be all that useful. Look where the lift is, it's all show not really a good "work" truck. The top is kinda of a neat idea, I have seen a few like that before not Toys though.
