Flashing engine light codes?
#21
How did you know you had the code if the CEL didn't flash?
Code 52 doesn't have ANYTHING to do with where your timing is set. It tells you that the ECM has "lost touch" with the knock sensor, and to save the engine the ECM retards the timing (bad acceleration, low power, you get it).

My first guess is they left the jumper in:

Your codes haven't change, you're just reading them constantly now.
If you remove the jumper, the flashing will stop, but it will still run badly.

Hey all, this is one of my first posts and apologize for posting something that has already been done.
Knock sensor issue! My check engine light comes on every once in a while. It was rare and now it's getting more frequent. It flashes 52.
I can start it. Rev it and hold it to 3k rps. No light.....it will only turn on after 30 miles per hour roughly. I know the connection at the plug at the top of the head isn't the best. Any ideas?
