Flame thrower injectors

I know this has been covered and reviewed a tone of times but my case is a little different and more of preventive maintenance vs upgrading. My rig currently has 240,000 miles on the clock and both valve cover gaskets are leaking. Since I am remove the intake manifold I am doing plugs, PCV, gaskets, and other related maintanace. I suspect my injectors are probably 21 years old and at thispoint they probably need to be replaced any way.

You can send them out to be cleaned, rebuilt and matched as well if your truck will be down for multiple days.

What's the cost of the flame thrower conversion vs having them cleaned and serviced.

Go with the flamethrowers for a little extra $, as opposed to cleaning and testing the factory injectors. Just put mine in the other day. Chances r that u will break all the electrical connectors for the injectors because theyre brittle due to heat and age. With the flamethrowers u get adaptors, so u can actually cable-tie the new plug to the old fragile loom between the 2 wires, giving a secure connection. And the new injectors have a spring clip design on the connection so theyre alot more hardy. Just an added bonus for the $ spent. This way theres no dramas with loose connections causing headaches down the road

That is what I am thinking. If I did send the stock injectors off there is also the chance one or two could be to far out of spec and then I'm out the cleaning and still have to buy more.

Have you been happy with yours?

Referring to the injector cap and crush washer. I can't seem to find the part numbers.

I've been running the flamethrower injectors going in two years now trouble free. Truck has more throttle response and fuel mileage is up 3.8% from my factory injectors

If ur referring to the large stepped cup that sits in the intake manifold, then no, it does not come with them.
