Finally got time to tear into my newly acquired 94 !

Follow up to the 94 that had a "Blown Head Gasket" ! I pulled her into the garage and checked the compression and all are holding and even. The oil is clean as new and the coolant was down maybe 1/3 gallon. Ran until it got to a little less than half on the temp guage, the top Radiator hose got hot but, the bottom hose was stone cold. The heater blew good hot air altough, there seemed to be a mist blowing out the vents for about a mintue or so, then stopped. Note truck set outside not being ran for ~3 months. I could not smell antifreeze in either the mist nor the exhaust. I'm thinking of trying a thermostat from advanced ? What are your thought's ? Thanks !

Yeah you don't wanna know what that smoke/mist was, but incase you have a iron stomach heres a clue it was probably alive at one time.
Radiator flow is left to right, it flows out the thermostat thru the radiator and out to the pump, is it past my nap time and I'm confused It should be cold(er) on the engine inlet, just means the radiator is doing it's job.
Not great pictures but I didn't spot anything obviously wrong with the thermostat. Clean it up test in a pan of water and put er back together..
And I haven't read thru the other thread.

Mouse..... so, that would explain why it smells like it is an old people car and not antifreeze.... and I was worried about the heater core.... The thermostat had pieces of the inner rubber stuck all through the stem.
