few Questions about hid kits and lights

Okay i have a local guy who sells hid kits. full instalment bulbs and new headlights sealed beam for my 4runner.

I'm not sure on the type of hid kits he said he can order any type of bulbs i want.

i want im thinking 8k hid lights because thats right before the color change i love the blue but i want the brightest lights i can with staying blue.

8k, hell no! if you want blue (i dont recommend it), go with 6k tops but personally i woudnlt go any higher then 5k.
thing is with HIDs, first your going to blind the crap out of oncoming traffic with them if they are not aimed right with the stock fluted housings. second, the higher k you go the less light is put out on the road. and third, in the blue range its harder it is to see at night in the rain and since you live in WA, that might be kind of a problem. before you go buy them, do some research on HIDplanet.com, it will help with you final decision.

I run 5K on my car. They're not terribly blue, quite white, and quite bright. I like them because they don't attract attention.

If you want blue, stick with 6k. As you start pushing higher, your light output drastically decreases.

I've got 5000k 55w DDM's in my 94 yota my 06 dirtymax and my CBR. 5000 k is the way to go for sure. 6000s are more blue and aren't too bad though. (had 6000k bulbs for a bit)

I'd stay with 6k no higher than that! Try to opt for the 55w ballast and bulb combo they are definitely allot brighter.

If you get DDM Tuning HID's a thing to remember between 55 watt and 35 watt is that 55 watt washes out some of the color (if your going by color)

For example:

A 55 watt 8k HID kit would be equivalent to a 35 watt 6k kit.

Something to keep in mind....
