Factory Cam Sproket Paint Marks

I have a 1990 1 Ton Truck (Winnebago RV) and in process of changing timing belt. The factory paint marks on the right cam(facing engine) does not align with the timing cover mark. The engine was running fine before I started this project. My sprocket has the arrow mark which some tech data IDs for 92/93 or newer engines. I'm thinking of sticking with the factory paint marks. Comments/experience/advice appreciated.
