Exhaust!!

Anyone ever run into any problems running a 2 1/2 straight pipe?
I'm thinking about running straight pipes into a 2 1/2 inlet cherry bomb extreme with two 2 1/4 outlets.

I've got some hesitation though dealing with pressure issues and using such a large pipe...what could I be getting myself into on the downside??

Thanks

pretty sure i'm gonna run 2.5" straight pipe into a 2.5 in/out cherry bomb extreme exhaust -- finishing out with an edelbrock or flowmaster turn-down tips.
Should be rediculous!!

That's what i was thinking but i figured that if i kept the headers stock I should be cherry in low gears -- that should give it enough back pressure...

You still think that opening it up beyond 2.25 is gonna drop my torque noticeably? I don't think that'd be worth it at all...how about in 4L and 4H...gotta keep the off-road solid...

putting a big pipe on there is not different thant putting a big fart can exhuast on a honda civic.. or so it just makes alot bee hive nosie and actually drops the horse power.

you wont loose thaatttt much but youll notice it a little bit, and youll run more healthy on the freeway with that kind of diameter. i say do it and see if you like it...

2.5 is to big and your going to loose some bottom end power unless you have a cam and a performance head with over sized valves. Go with a 2.25 exhaust if you engine is mostly stock, you will see a noticable gain.
