Buy the 2 1/4" high flow cat that LCE sells and the LCE Pro-flow catback exhaust, all of which is 2 1/4" & mandrel bent. It all bolts up,and is designed and perfectly sized to work together. It's all stainless too, like the headers you've bought. Yes, a bit of $$$ but the mandrel bends, quality construction, and lack of headache afterwards is worth it. If you're gonna spend a few hundred to have your local exhaust bend you up an exhaust, what's antoher $100 or so for a top quality exhaust system built to work with your headers?

Sorry to hijack.. but I'm wondering if high flow cats are necessary on these engines? My muffler shop almost has me sold on one for when I get my exhaust done next week.. but how much do they really help? Would a stock cat be just as good on our tiny Yota engines?

BTW, check ebay for components like mufflers and cats..they have the cheapest prices I have seen. I got a NEW flowmaster hushpower for like 70 bucks shipped

Are you asking what the point of 2.25" pipe is? It seems to be what most people on this forum and here locally recommend. I'm getting a catback exhaust system done because my old one is rusted up completely. I want it to sound good but I didn't think I needed to spend the extra dough on the hi-flow cat.

No, I was asking what is the point of 2.25 from the cat back? It wont do anything unless you increase the size in the whole exhaust system

Gotcha.. I will look into that. My cat could probably use an unclogging or maybe a replacement with an OEM cat. Maybe I'll just have the whole thing done in 2.25"
