Engine Oil Leaking From Head and Coolant Leak

My engine seems to be leaking oil from one of the top hoses somewhere and on the edges of the block (see pictures). I lose about a quart of oil every 45 days or so. Anyone know how i could fix this and what the problem is? Also, I am losing engine coolant pretty quickly too. I have to fill up the full reservoir once every 3 weeks or so. After I stop my truck, I see a small pool of coolant underneath the driver's side front end of the engine. I'm only 17, and I'm super green with this stuff. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks so much!

I would first suspect water pump seal going south & causing the coolant leak, but it should be easy to get underneath with it running & see where it's coming from.

My truck USES a quart every 45 days...but I'd check the PCV & replace if necessary.

How difficult would it be to replace my PCV and the water pump seal?

If you are new to working on engines and are unsure about doing it, I would recomend finding someone to fix your coolant leak, if it is the water pump it is not something a newb should be getting started on without proper guidance. Download an FSM and do some searching and get a good plan together before you start on anything.

Thanks for the help James. I'm pretty new to everything so I'll hold off for now. I'm thinking about over Christmas break or summer rebuilding my engine with some help from a good manual and a buddy or two. I'm sure all the great people of Yotatech will also be willing to help out a newb who needs some guidance.

I'm in Denver. Just getting into fixing my car and all. I decided to get a 4Runner for my first car, just because i knew that it'd be fun to learn how to fix all of the stuff on my truck myself, and because they're pretty dang cool. Yotatech had bee a godsend for me. I've been helped out so many times on here.
