Engine Instal ?????

Ok to start this off I removed an engine out of a runner with a 3.0 mated to a manual trans. I am now installing this engine into a truck with an automatic transmission. The question I have is does the pilot bearing have to be removed before the motor is mated to an automatic transmission? I ask this because I have the motor sitting on the mounts all bolted down. I have every transmission bolt installed but not tightened. As I try to tighten the bell housing bolts the motor becomes harder and harder to turn over via crank bolt. I figured all this out after installing the motor and would defiantly remove the pilot bearing if done over again. My question is do I need to lift the motor again and remove this pilot bearing or does it not come in to play or effect the auto transmission? Please help me out i want to drive my runner again.

BUMP, Can someone please help me out. I don't want to pull that thing back out if I don't have to. I mean I doubt that the auto uses a pilot bearing but I was wondering if it would effect the torque converter bolting up? If no one can answer this but has a picture of the mating side of the torque converter I think I can figure it out. Someone please help me out i want to be rollin the yota again.

Yes I think you do because the torque converter sits in there a bit. That is what alignes the trans and crank. I am not 100% on the Toyota but that is what it is like on a chev. I don't know how else they would stay in alginment?

Yea i figured that may be the case. I assumed that the flywheel being bolted to the motor and torque converter riding on the transmission front pump shaft might be enough. Thank you a bunch for the input. I have been doing this swap 100percent solo so sometimes you need another mind on some things.
