Engbldr rebuild kit question!!!!
Ok just got my kit today and i was looking at everything (kinda like xmas you know) and on the box for my pistons it says 0.20 which is what i ordered. But on the top of piston it's self it says 0.50. Is the 0.50 on the piston the size of the bore? I'm at a loss here hope the box was not marked wrong but feeling it might be. Please let me know if the 0.50 on the piston is the actual size. Thanks guys

Think i got my answer... But feel free to chime in the 0.50 is the overall size if the piston not just the bore which is 0.20 over. Correct me if i'm wrong please!!!!!

If your brain is the size of a peanut what are you doing rebuilding an engine! J/K Anyways it' doesn't matter what boxes say as long your measurements (with mics and bore guages obviously) match up to the specs your trying to go with. If you're having the motor bored, and I'm assuming that your local neighborhood machinist is doing the work, than you give him the pistons and he takes all of the guesswork out of the equation. I love my machinist, he makes magic happen!

If ever you have questions about Engine Builder parts Email or call them .
They are great and Ted keeps trying to retire and I think he gets bored .
I have asked all sorts of questions .
Just curious you have bored the block and then ordered the pistons. In my youth 30 some years ago I had ordered pistons before doing the block only to find out the block didn`t clean up at the size. I had thought it would . A expensive lesson but always remembered

You mean my 50 over is wrong? I better get hold of my machinist and tell him my pistons are wrong he board my block 20 over and ENGNBLDR sent me 50 over pistons , He must have spent a week shaving them piston down to fit the cylinders no wonder it took so long and cost so much.
