electrical short /speedometer ???
On my 93 3vze xcab 4x4 automatic.
This topic has come up plently of times,i searched past post but nothing. my speedometer dial was going haywire and sometimes the odometer was going wack too. Now, i finally changed my speed sensor ($50 boneyard special). the minute i put it in it worked fine all normal again, the one thing that was still strange was in the morning (only morning time) the dial wouldn't registar until about a 1/4 mile down the road, then all was accurate, the odometer was fine while the dial didn't work for that short time, now after 2 weeks of driving, for about 3 or 4 hours constant driving it drops to 0 gradually goes up, bounces a little then drops back down. But the odometer is still accurate, also, first time for this, now when its acting like this and i turn on the turning signals the dial clicks in rythem (bouncing slightly up and down)with the turning signal and keeps doing this until the dial finally ends up at 0. but now every morning its the same, a 1/4 mile later and everything is fine. I took a ground wire and put it on the (-) screw on the speedometer and grounded it to the frame, but it didn't help. Is the bone yard special no good or whats the deal...strange !!!!
