EGR trouble, Code 71
I get a code 71 on my 22rec, I replaced with new, EGR valve and the EGR temp sensor( cali only). I am going to check the EGR vsv at lunch per the FSM. I am wondering if the pasage in the head is clogged? Anyone know if you can clean it with the head on the truck? Next will be the intake plenum as well. Thanks in advance to any EGR gurus.

The passage in the head is flowing, valve is working ,vsv works, passage in the plenum is flowing. Either my new temp sensor is bad or I have a problem to the ecu. Is there anything Im missing?

about 2 inches in diameter, 1 vacuum nipple on bottom, 2 coming out of the side, bottom nipple goes directly to egr valve, other 2 route around to a vsv (i think thats the name) at lunch ill go out and take a picture and attempt to post it

I think your talking about a egr vacum modulator, atleast on a 22rec thats what its called. I have installed a brand new one. Keep the ideas comming
