EFI Still A Mystery to me (and my cousin)

So when last I posted I said all was ok.
That was the case for a week or so then the low speed lag/hesitations returned and slowly over a month of driving (200 mi?) developed into never gaining power at al. Highway speeds a no go.
When I finally had a chance to take a look it threw 41,42,51.
I rechecked things and had the connector off the TPS.
Rechecked and got 41 and 42.
Searched here and decided TPS had enough hits to warrant a new one so ordered and have installed it.
Reset the ECU via the fuse and turned the key on.
A non stop blink runs till I turn the key and the engine starts and the light continues to blink until engine reaches 1K (this is an approx number as its a very old 8/6cyl gauged tack)
at 1k it stops the continuous and begins throwing code.... 5? 50?
it blinks slow 5 times waits a beat then repeats 5 slow beats.
I can post a vid if need be. if I have too. i guess...

This new TPS is not a factory, it's a Beck Arnly and has quite a noticeably stronger return spring, FWIW.
but still
code 41 and 42 went away and now the only mystery is, "what's the new one?" right?

...and no it doesn't really want to run at all now and yes I set and checked the ohm's at 47,57, and 83mm.

now (and I swear I didn't even go looking for one) I have to go clean (de-rust) my 'new' barnyard find, real (this time) WWII south bend heavy 10R...
