Ecu Problems? Need some help

Ok, so I relocated my ECU box from the right kick panel to just inside the glovebox. Saw some water coming into the floor from the door panel and thought it to be a good idea to re route it.

So thats done. Now when I try to start her I have to hold the gas down and keep her idling. She will not idle by herself. So I tried grounding the case of the ECU...no help.

Then I noticed theres a relay in the pass side dash, right up against the steel directly above the ECU's previous location that clicks on and off when I get on or off the gas pedal. Also found a 2 pin connecter zip tied to the bottom of the wire that goes into the relay thats not attached to anything. The relay itself is plugged in, but the other wire with the connecter on it doesnt seem to go anywhere.

Anyone have a clue where that connector goes, and possibly what that relay is, it's not labeled anywhere that I can see. That seems like it could be the problem. The other variable I'm thinking is that since I had the ECU unplugged for about a half hour, maybe I killed off it's internal memory?

Any help?
It's an 86 22re 4runner 5spd

Problem solved, adjusted idle to 2000 ran around town for a while, idle adjusted itself to 3000, backed it down and it idles at 950 now...apparently the computer had some learning to do.

Any particular reason you feel you have to move the ECU?
I could suggest a solution to water around the ECU which would cost you maybe 5 bucks and you wouldn't have to relocate anything.
... plastic bag, butylated rubber, some finesse and done.

I felt more comfortable mounting her in the glove box, all my paperwork sits in my visor, and the only thing in the glove box is; gloves(whooda thunk it?), a single package of poptarts, a 12mm ratchet wrench to take the top off, and now the ECU.

What made me think of it was the fact that last sunday while I was wheeling, it was raining pretty hard the night before, and some of the pools and streams I go through had gotten pretty deep. Deep to the point that I could see water coming in from underneath the doors...and that happens to be right where the ECU is. I got pretty lucky in not soaking it. With her moved up in the box, shes a full foot higher, and I didn't have to rely on the finesse thing.

Truth be told I contemplated the plastic bag idea for a lil bit before I said hell with it and relocated. Don't want to leave it to chances I figured.
