Test your alternator. search the forums I know this has been covered recently. also try cleaning your battery connections and check your grounds.

Probably the connections. It might also be the cables so check those where they attach to the battery and on the starter and ground.

When you replaced the alternator why did you do it? I changed one out last year that died and gave me the batt/brake lights only to have it go out again less than 1000 miles later due to the front main leaking and slinging oil into the alternator.

I would definitely check ALL the connections. alternator, starter, battery, and chassis ground. a loose wire can cause all kinds of trouble. but don't rule out the alternator I have had plenty of brand new parts be bad right out of the box. Thats what happens when everything is made in china now days...lol

Yup. If they still made the Yota parts in Japan instead then we'd be wheeling for a thousand years. Sort of like a modern day 4x4 Ninja. HI-YA!

Jesus Bleeder! I guess you got lucky. That damn front main on mine leaked just enough to sling oil off the balancer up into the alternator. It started leaking on a weekend trail ride with Jeeps West and halfway through the first day the alt wasn't putting out much, kind of like a prom date that wakes up sober. Had to drive home for a few hours praying that I'd make it to the house. The good thing was that I won a Red Top in the raffle (15$) so if it died I had a battery in the bed to swap in. Best raffle I ever entered, hell I also won a set of sliders (for a Jeep) in that raffle and donated them back to the club as a thank you. It wasn't until I got to the house and did some looking that I realized those TJ sliders were over 300$ brand new, should have kept them and put em on ebay...........
