Dying!!
Started up the truck and went to drive this morning and as I pulled up to the stop sign I lost power in the engine and it died. I did not lose electrical power. When I tried to start it back up it would turn over and then die again. Help!!!

I have no idea what year or model truck you have, but just about everything on these engines is electronically controlled. Check your fuses, and go from there.

Does the engine act like it's going to start at all? Like you turn the key and crank it 5-10 seconds and it starts to run but when you let the key off it dies?
Are sure you checked ALL your fuses, the ones in the engine compartment and under the dash? Not being rude, just asking 'cause some people don't realize there are fuses in both places.
Got fuel in the tank? Again, not being rude but never overlook the obvious.
How do the spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor look? Plug wires?
Are you getting spark? If not, could be bad coil, ignitor or distributor pick-up coil.
Check for any loose or disconnected wires, particularly around the ignition coil.
When you turn the key on, can you hear the fuel pump run for a few seconds? If not, check that the fuel pump works. I don't have specs on the V6 but I'm sure you can google it or someone else here can help.
Any possibility the fuel filter is completely plugged up?
Are the injectors getting signals to fire? You can check that with an injector test light available at most auto parts stores. You unplug an injector and insert the device into the plug then crank the engine- if the light blinks, the injectors are getting a signal and all but completely rules out the ECU.
That's all I can come up with given for the moment, given what I know of the situation.

Nice, give me some time and I will check all of that. Hope it takes me somewhere. There is gas, I did check the fuses(both places) and I don't believe it is the fuel filter, but I am changing it anyway. Thanks for your Help!

So I get home today and the runner that had stranded me earlier in the day cranks right up. First time. I decided to drive it to see if there was something I could find and the only thing that was happening was that it would rev up(kind of jump a little) and then dump RPMs. Only after 40mph though? Now do you think this is the MAF?

I've been having a problem sorta like this. Your symptoms are almost the same as mine. My truck has been dying at low speeds or any time I stop. Also when it dies and I turn the truck on, it will idle for a little and then dump the rpm's. Once it does that, I try to start it again and it won't start up. I have recently bought a scanner and when I do live data of the truck running it won't show no error codes, but MAF just stays at 0.000 the whole time. I think mine could possible be the MAF. I hope this helps.
