Drive Shaft ?

I have a 1995 4x4 4runner. My ? is, is the drive shaft in the frount of the rig that goes to the frount transfur case for your 4x4 ingage supose to spin freeley when the car is parked and in 2W drive. I hope I said this right.

It is the small drive shaft, not the long one.

Another ? is, when I do put it into 4x4, the rig seems to vibrate. Any insite on this as well?

Not really sure what your are asking...

If you have auto hubs, then I believe the front DS will not spin freely when in 2WD. The front DS will be spinning every time the truck moves, whether in 2WD or 4WD.

If you have manual hubs (and they are in the FREE position), the front DS should spin when in 2WD, and not spin at all when driving.

The fact that your rig "vibrates" isn't really enough info to offer help. A vibrating rig in 4WD could be anything. If you are engaging 4WD on dry asphalt then you will be getting vibrations and such a practice is not recommended.
