downey slip yoke half shafts for ifs

does anybody have any experience with the use of the downeys slipyoke half shafts if they do id love to see some pics of them if they are good or any info

Yeah, seen them. I would think a single U-joint would vibrate really bad (needs a second to cancel it out). If you're breaking CVs left and right with 33s or smaller, its driver error, not a problem with the truck, also, an upgraded CV would put the diff at risk and that is a much tougher trail repair.

They seem a little unnecesary to me. A stock toyota axle is probibly the best way to go.

slip yokes work well on propeller shafts (read as front or rear 'driveshafts', so why wouldn't they work comparably well on half-shafts?
if the geometry requires X travel but the slip in the tulip or outer CV won't allow that much then having the shaft be capable of telescoping might keep one from blowing a birfield... oops, meant "outer" CV joint.

I'm looking to buy the slip yoke axles. Has anyone heard of someone selling them, downey discontinued them along with the rancho a-arm long travel kit. I've seen some pictures of some nice flex out of that setup so I'm trying go that route.
