Good thread guys.
my problem is a little different.
I get heat on the drivers side and my defroster works well. But at the passenger side foot it blows cold.
face vents, defrost and drivers foot blow warm.

my truck is an early 1995 w/ 22re with NO AC.
I traced the cables and doors seem to move. the cold/hot lever moves two cables and I hear the one in the cab open and close. the valve in the engine compartment moves.

Does the truck have two separate cores?
its getting really cold here in Canada... please help.

I'm not sure if this fits with this thread but here goes. I just bought a 2000 4runner limited with 125,000 and did a lot of high mileage preventative maintenance - timing belt, water pump, belts, fluids etc. One problem is that the AC blows hot air and the dealership said they thought it was a blend air door binding in the heater unit and quoted me $1300 to "inspect more." I figured most if not all of this cost was labor as they said they would have to tear apart the dash. I saw the post above and wondered if that's how intense it will be? Has anybody had this issue or fixed/replaced the blend air door? Any simpler fixes before I delve into tearing apart the dash? Thanks!
