Cross member bolt part number (post BudBuilt)

Just put in a new BudBuilt Xmember and skid pan on my 92 Xcab V6 Auto. I need some replacement bolts (Cap screws, really) for the crossmember. There are 8, about M12 x 1.25 x 40mm (but with tapered tips). Having a hard time finding ... anyone know the part number in event I bite the bullet?

Yes, you would think, but that isn't the case. McMaster-Carr, and just about everyone else, does NOT have this combo.

Yeah, they are an oddball size. I ended up at the dealer. I'll poke around the garage and see if I can find the #. (unlikely) They were under two bucks each IIRC.

The issue is finding bolts this size with the proper pitch (1.25), for whatever reason. Turns out they are $1.19 each, from dealer. Will post number for future. New ones don't come with custom Xmember (the flathead trannie mount bolts do, though). Yeah, and you all likely have them up there 'cuz you're still in the 1800's (sorry, I love Canada, but couldn't resist)

I think I got it. 90105-12016
We can verify #'s when yours arrive, but the price similarity sounds right. They are cheaper at Toyota Parts Sales...

...but then you have shipping and have to wait for them to arrive. So you have to ask yourself if $2.64 is really worth it.

OK, to tell you all what a good guy Bud is, I had discussed issues with him as well (because of some fitting issues) and lo and behold, he is sending me the flange bolts (in this case 12 x 1.25 x50) gratis, "for my troubles." OK, so go by stuff from him!

I met Bud a few years back in Ouray. What a great guy and very helpful. I bought skids for my FJ and am going to get a set for my 4runner. His customer service is the best......

I was at Spaenaur's retail outlet yesterday for the first time in years. As usual, they have just about everything. All sorts of rare and specialized metric automotive/industrial fasteners in stock, no waiting. You can put your hands on the stuff and no minimums at the retail counter I don't think. Knowledgeable counterpeople. Its free paper catalogue is a must-have. I envy anyone in the Kitchener/Waterloo and surrounding areas because it's a $25 gas bill there and back from Toronto. But it's worth it -- makes projects go much, much smoother.
