Cowl Vent Covers - keeping the leaves out
I made these out of the magnetic "vent / register" sheets that are sold in hardware stores.
These are to save the the trouble of picking the leaves out of the cowl vents when its street parked for long periods of time.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
I actually LIKE the vents - there is a high pressure zone there and it pushes more air into the air intake.
But when parked....
The white is kind of stealth, so the kids wont steal em (not that they are worth much)
I take em off when i drive - tho - i COULD just store em on the hood

I agree , , but it was not my original idea either , hot rod builders have been doing it to cars for a melena . I have only been building them for about 15 years
if you have ever stripped down a toy , you'll see there are lots of areas for air to enter the cowl area .. if you wanted a filter , that would be fairly easy , .. you would just put it between the intake of the blower and cowl .
