constantly overheating a/t
ok the obvious is that its slipping and i need to rebuild it. BUT let me explain the symptoms. in the morning, the tranny does not want to shift from 1 to 2 until i let off the gas a little. malfunctioning solenoid? sometimes when hot it feels as if it starts in 3 from a stop light (mostly in summer with a/c on). the other day it felt as if the o/d was turning on and off rapidly with no change in rpm. the tranny was rebuilt 60k ago but the solenoids were not replaced. fluid flows freely and does not go through the rad. my normal comute of 30 miles does not make this happen, it only seems to happen on longer trips (50+ miles or faster going up the mtns to get to the desert). last time this happened the ambient air temp was 60. the fluid has been flushed 3 times in the last 9 months. and drain& fill once. any suggestions?
