cone filter shield?

ive got a short ram intake on my 3vze. i played in the mud last night and i got some mud on my air filter. does anyone know how to make a shield of some kind so i dont have to worry about it sucking up too much water from the mud? i love going through water but i dont want it splashing through my hood onto my air filter

Good luck finding one somewhere though; I bought it as it was being phased out at an Advance Auto Parts...

I believe it's made by APC

yeah I bought 2 of them; that last 2 they had at that store

and they don't hardly get dirty at all; maybe it's because of the way the air has to come around and then into the cone, I dunno. But I've had this exact filter on here for almost a year, and I've never tried to clean it or anything, and just the other day I pulled it off to look inside, and it looks brand new still, lol
