Coils have to come out for Air Lift 1000??
Checked out the install directions for Air Lift 1000, and it claims the coils have to come out to install the airbags.
I thought you could squeeze these in the coils when they were fully drooped? Anybody ever done it with the coils in?
Check it out:

Nobody has ever put these things in?? I know there are guys on here that have these, did you have to pull the coils out?
Seems pointless to use these if you have to pull the coils, might as well replace the things if you have to pull them anyway.

Hmmm, I was gonna go with them, but if I'm gonna pull the coils, I might as well throw new coils in. Maybe I'll still throw the bags in though, seeing as how I can adjust them for when I'm towing and not towing.
I'm tellin ya this sag issue is making me nuts!!!!
Are there any coils out there that just restore the Runners to regular (non sag) height, or do they all provide some lift?

I have read up on these as well and most people say that you can squeeze them in between the springs if you take all the weight off the suspension. I should have them in a few weeks and will let you know.

was gonna do that, but if you look down there, there are things that can punture the bags

Flash319...I thought I read that also, and i think it was on here. The only thing that seems like it would be a problem with squeezing them in, is installing the air hose, it looks like you have to drill out the lower spring mount to get the air hose through, not sure how else you would do it.
I guess if Anthony says you could puncture it, it must be true, he's actually done it.
I could swear I have read that guys squeezed them in on here before though.

I just installed these. All I did was jack up the truck and unbolt the struts.
I removed the bump stops per the directions by unbolting the 12mm bolt holding them in.
I squeezed the air out of the bag and it fit in between the coils.
Finally, I drilled out a hole from underneath for the air nipple to fit through.
First impression, it feels like a truck now My sag is gone and the truck is a little more stiff, but feels solid on the road. I hooked up my dual axle car hauler and there was barely any squat. I have 30psi in the bags now, maximum is 35psi, minimum is 5psi. Money well spent.
